Miller-Meeks noted, "Over the past few months, I have knocked on hundreds of doors and met thousands of voters in the 2nd District. Our campaign has been picking up support in every area of the district, and I’ve been humbled with the financial support we’ve received. We’ve marshaled our resources, and we’re now using our advertising to talk to voters in the critical final month of the campaign. We’re excited about this, and I’m proud of the positive campaign message we’re sharing with voters."

"Roles" highlights a long and distinguished career. Dr. Miller-Meeks served 24 years in the US Army and US Army Reserves, first as a surgical nurse then as a physician. She retired as a Lt. Colonel. She has taught at both the University of Michigan and University of Iowa Medical Schools, and is now in private practice in Ottumwa, Iowa.

"But one of my proudest accomplishments has to be that of being a mother and a wife for almost 25 years. I have been blessed with a great family, and I couldn’t be prouder of what Curt and I have accomplished together," Miller-Meeks said.

She added, "My campaign has been about taking a positive message to the voters.  Iowans are tired of politics as usual, and they want someone in Washington that shares their values, and shares their life’s experiences. We all serve a lot of ‘roles’ in our communities. It’s what makes Iowa and the 2nd District such a great place to live and raise a family."
