Fundraiser for Republicans set
The Hawk Eye
DENMARK -- Several speakers, led by state party chairman Stewart
Iverson, are expected at the Lee County Republican Party's fundraiser
at 6 p.m. today at the Denmark Celebration Center.
The evening will start at 6 p.m and is expected to conclude by 8:30
p.m. A pork loin dinner with sides will be served for $15 per ticket.
Besides Iverson of Dows, guest speakers will include a representative
for John McCain's presidential campaign; U.S. Senate candidate
Christopher Reed of Solon; 2nd District congressional candidate
Mariannette Miller Meeks of Ottumwa; Iowa State Auditor Dave Vaudt;
Doug Abolt of Donnellson, candidate for Iowa Senate District 46; Dave
Heaton of Mount Pleasant, incumbent Iowa House Representative from the
91st District; Gary Ramaker of Keokuk, candidate Iowa House District
92; Larry Kruse of Houghton, incumbent member of the Lee County Board's
1st District; Ryan Walrath, candidate for Lee County Board's 4th
District; and Leon Mosley, Iowa Republican Party co-chairman from
Waterloo.
